There is a reason why some websites can get high rankings on Google for anything they publish regardless of content while other websites cannot get into the first page since they have optimized web page content.
This is because Google thinks of trust as a major factor as to how they rank the sites. Some websites have managed to reach very high levels of trust with Google and this helps them get higher ranking on search engines than you do even if your business is more established than theirs.
Google are not very friendly to spammers and will not list spam sites in their search results. You will have to prove to Google that your website is real and it is for a long term business and that you are not a spammer.
Here are some tips on how to show Google that you have a trustworthy website:
1. Your Domain Name
Google considers the age of a domain name. This is why some businesses consider purchasing old domain names that are suitable to their website. When you purchase a new domain name, buying it with a renewal period of two years or more will be a sign that you mean to stay in the net for a long time. Also do not overuse hyphens in your URL. They might look spammy and Google would not put it in the first pages.
2. Your Website Content
Do not use doorway pages since they annoy not only search engine spiders but also website visitors. They are also considered as a sign of a low quality website. Regularly update your pages to show that your website is up and running.
3. Your Links
Google is able to detect link systems so do not participate in automated linking schemes. When your website gets a thousand inbound links in one day, this will raise Google’s suspicions. Do not also use the same link texts to all the links to your website since this will also be a red flag for Google. Using paid links also can make Google penalize you if you use them.
Getting Google’s trust allows you to get better chance to get higher rankings.
