By buying fake Facebook fans you are ruining it for the rest of us. People like you spread suspicion and mistrust from users who may not be able to recognize when something is truly liked by its fans. I would never buy fake fans. I would rather have no fans than a single fake one. Its immoral and deceitfull and wrong.

Once again it seems like money is king. If you money you can do anything. Get any old rubbish video to the top of the youtube ratings. If you are more a traditional online marketeer like myself, you have to rely on product alone. And the product should speak for itself. You should not have to push your wares on people for them to see the benefits of it. A good pop band will be good with or without a million dollar marketing campaign behind it. And a good product should be able to sell without a million dollar advertising budget. I find all modern inventions such as YouTube and Twitter are just being used as bait by advertising companies to get you to hand over all the marketing budget to them so that they can navigate you through this brave new world. I wonder how much stuff actually gets sold because someone has seen something on YouTube? I am guessing very little. I am guessing the only people who are making any real money from you tube are the SEO firms you mention in your article. This is definitely a case of emperors new clothes as far as I am concerned.

I often buy fake fans for my online marketing sites. And I find it really get the ball rolling. Most general users are either too stupid or gullible to recognize a fake Facebook fan. So when they visit my webpage and see 1333 Facebook likes they will just want to click the like button to be part of the crowd or to see if they can get their face to appear on the little box on the webpage sidebar. I believe that the majority of users are really that simple minded. I also believe that marketing company’s are employing this tactic but on a much grander scale generating hundreds of thousands or even millions of Facebook likes, just to get the initial buzz out there. When something has thousands of ‘likes’ it can make the local news or internet news. You see this especially on your tube. Once it gets over 250k hits you are going to see that video in all sorts of online magazines, tv shows, websites etc etc. How does anyone know if those hits are real or just bought. If you have enough money you can generate interest in anything.
