3 Internet Marketing Tools That Will Change Your Business

Most people are not satisfied with a business that simply performs; instead they want a web business that performs so well that they can walk away from it and still earn a comfortable living.  If this is your dream than you will first need to get enough revenues coming in on a steady basis so that you can hire people to help you with your business.  The surprising news is that you can develop this steady stream on your own without a large budget or technical know-how.

Website SEO
-:
The first marketing tool that you need to know about is website SEO tactics.  You want to make sure that every practice you use is a white hat technique so that you do not get penalized. However, once you distinguish the search engine ‘legal’ avenues to promote your website using SEO tactics you can increase your traffic gradually over a few months time until it becomes a steady stream.  Content keywords, headings, and link building are great ways to get started.

Social Marketing -:
If the nineties were about file sharing, suffice it to say that this decade has been about the birth of social networking.  The best part about social networking is that in most instances it is free to join and the hundreds to thousands of consumers that you can find on these websites will pay off in ways you cannot imagine until you give them a shot.  Simply jump onto a few of the most popular social networks such as Facebook, Myspace, or LinkedIn and build a profile and within just a few minutes after finishing your profile you will be spreading the word about your business.

Joint Ventures -:
Finally, last but not least you may want to think about signing up for a joint venture if you want to broaden your customer base.  This is best done by finding a related business and forming a partnership in which you both agree to direct and share your customer bases.  This will benefit both businesses and is largely how eBay and PayPal quickly came to be so popular.  Hint:  If you need some help finding a joint venture partner LinkedIn is a great place to start.

I’ve dabbled in some internet marketing before, but I didn’t find it as rewarding as people have told me. I did everything I was told and put some effort into it but it just didn’t bring in as much as I expected it to. I’m guessing I chose the wrong product as I can see how internet marketing can really work. I’ll try my hand at it again once I get some things out of the way.
