How To Identify The Best Link Builder Agent

The SEO industry is filled with experts who claim that they can handle every task from organic technical analysis of a website to solid copywriters that will promise you their copy will sell products to optimization writers who promise that their keyword placements will rocket you to the top of Google search queries.

However, while most SEOs will promise you that they can handle everything, the truth is that when it comes to one last tactic, link building, there are very few who are truly masterful at creating effective links.

With this truth in mind, the question is, how do you find one that can?  Luckily, there are certain characteristics that can help you narrow the field while appraising resumes and trying to decide which one of these so-called SEO experts is really an expert in link building.  In short form, there are eight different characteristics that you should look for in any link builder that is worth your money and time.

The Social Geek -:
While geek may have a negative connotation to it, the truth is that when it comes to your link building you want a social network geek that not only loves to work with technical aspects, but also has no problem interacting with people as well.  In other words, you want the frat boy who knows how to develop websites because they will be able to reach out and really make an impact everywhere they drop your links into place.

The internet junkie -:
Training and reading books about the internet is one thing, but actually having used the internet on a regular basis in all aspects is a completely different story all together.  What this trait boils down to, is experience outside of the classroom, and you want to make sure that your link builder has it.  Someone who has used the internet to their avail will know and understand how to use it to yours.

The artist -:
Not to be misunderstood with artistic tendencies, when you are looking for a link builder you do want someone that is highly creative because sometimes inbound marketing will require some unique ways around traditional roadblocks.  Creative people will be able to link just about anything with anything, which is great for you since this will allow your website to reach a much broader audience without looking spammy.

The Rubik Cube master -:
On the other hand, creativity alone will not sell your links, which is why you need some technological background in your link builder in order to make sure that they can logically build links and use the most advanced link analysis tools at their disposal.  A link builder that can make sure their creative ideas are actually effective and working is priceless.

The sales maverick -:
Link building requires some knowledge of sales, because the overall goal of building links is to help promote your business and increase sales.  Therefore, you need someone that understands what it is to actually market a business.

The MIT maven -:
It does not take technical skills to build links, but it does make the process more effective and much less time consuming.  Therefore, if you want the best link builder you will want to make sure that they are familiar with HTML, have an understanding of programming language, and able to create their own files and tools.

The quick mover -:
Finally, when it comes to hiring a link builder you want one that means business, because they should be working at building your business not just building links for your business.  Thus, you want one that is motivated to quickly get your website on the map because the more high quality work they complete the higher they will move up the food chain.

Therefore, sometimes it is best to start with link builders that offer great experience but are just starting out, because this way you both have something in it making the exchange much more productive for both parties.  After all, when you both have the same goal it will be much easier to meet it together.

Manual directory submission service is very popular and would be the first thing to do when you start your link building campaign, as well as inform the telephone company’s yellow pages.

Whether you hire somebody to do your link building, or you decide to use a link building tool, or even if you decide to do it yourself, it will be doomed to fail in the long term if one important aspect is not heeded – the links must appear natural.

Natural links that are obviously not spam, not paid for, and not bulk submissions are the very best and will provide link juice for years.

Obtaining natural linkage takes skill, and there is no getting around it, it takes time too. Time well spent though, although many marketeers choose not to, at their cost.

I kind of alluded to this in another blog entry, but the same applies here. It is very easy and very inexpensive to increase your inbound links by outsourcing to one of the many outfits offering this service. The problem is that poor anchor text or poorly selected sites basically means your site will benefit nothing or even worse will be flagged by Google as using blackhat techniques, which will actually devalue your site, the opposite of what you are looking to achieve!

I like the idea of a Rubik cube master to build links, but where do you find someone who thinks like this? I have tried allsorts of link building software and outsourcing my link building but I do not see a big difference in my sites rankings. Where do you go to get good help with this?
